Admission Procedures and Requirements

The Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute Extension admits students regardless of race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin, or physical disability and will be entitled to all the rights, privileges, and programs generally accorded or made available to students at the Seminary. The Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute Extension does not discriminate on the basis of any of these on the administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, or any other program administered by the Institute. However, a student must be a Christian and affiliated with a church that believes and teaches the Holy Bible as the Word of God.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate

This Bible Institute will admit a student who is at least 18 years of age or has a high school diploma and who is able to benefit from a program of instruction from The Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute Extension. An applicant for admission can be admitted once the following items have been completed:

  1. A completed and signed application for admission form.
  2. A $50.00 non-refundable application fee.
  3. Official transcripts from all high schools, colleges, and universities attended

Admission to Baccalaureate Degree Program

In addition to the general admission requirements listed, specific requirements are usually prescribed for each degree program at The Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute. Among items generally considered in determining the eligibility of a student for admission to a course of study at the Institute are his/her educational and occupational experiences, and other reasonable standards to insure that the student possesses the potential to meet the program requirements.

Students admitted to the Bachelor of Theological Studies program must complete 120 semester hours of instruction (2595 clock hours) of which 90 semester hours (1245 clock hours) must be earned in the required core area. At least 60 of the 120 required semester hours must be earned at The Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute Extension. This program can be completed in 3 to 4 years by the student who can commit sufficient time and energy.
