Financial Information
Tuition Fee
Tuition is due at the beginning of each semester or payment arrangements can be made.
The tuition rate is $100 per credit hour.
Additional Expenses
Each student should anticipate a minimum of $30.00 - $100.00 per subject for books during an academic year. This significant expense must be planned for in addition to the tuition expense.
Full Payment of tuition is expected at time of registration.
Please make all checks payable to SSBI. If a check is returned, the student will be accessed a $50 return check fee and all other tuition from the student must be paid with cash, certified check or money order—checks will no longer be accepted. If the student does not reimburse the school within two weeks, the student will be dropped from class.
Available Payment Plan
We have the following payment plan available. The student must be current with all tuition and fees with SSBI and must adhere to the following plan.
- At registration at least one-third (1/3) of the total amount must be paid.
- One-third (1/3) will be due the week before mid-term
- One-third (1/3) will be due the week before finals.
Failure to adhere to the aforementioned payment plan could result in involuntary withdrawal from all classes. It will also result in the denial of consideration for any future installment payment plan.
*Please note: SSBI reserves the right to inform credit bureaus of past due accounts and to authorize collection agencies to collect on those accounts. If this process is necessary, the student will pay all fees associated with the collection of the debt.
Advance Registration
Students who wish to apply for admission to the Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute prior to the on-site class registration dates may download an application from our website. Please mail your application and the one-time application fee to the Registrar’s Office, Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute, 4417 Douglas Street, N.E., Washington, D.C.20019. Adjustment of Student Fees Upon Withdrawal
All students who register and withdraw prior to the beginning of classes will only lose the registration fee. After the beginning of classes, tuition fees will be adjusted as follows for students who withdraw from classes:
- During the first week of classes 80% cancellation
- During the second week of classes 60% cancellation
- During the third week of classes, and thereafter, there are no cancellations.
Students who are suspended or expelled during a semester will not have reductions made in fee charges. Students who fail to attend classes without properly withdrawing will receive no refund.
Student Account Refund Procedures
Before refunds are made, there must be a credit on the student’s account after all known charges have been applied. Students requesting a refund must follow the procedures listed below. The following list is the official procedure for all students requesting refunds:
Requisition forms for refunds may be secured from the Business Office. Student will complete the form and return it to the Business Office. Students will be notified when approved checks may be picked up from the Business Office or mailed.
